56 Years of Earth Day: The Work Ahead for Orange County
"Fifty-six years after the first Earth Day, the clarion call to protect our planet is louder than ever. From massive data centers, mega-warehouses, new waste facilities and expanded highways that will exacerbate air and water pollution, increase local traffic and destroy open spaces, the challenges are growing. Please consider what you can do for our shared environment. Your contribution can be as personal as establishing a pollinator habitat or as civic-minded as monitoring local developments that threaten our air, water, and quality of life. For 44 years, Orange Environment Inc. (OE) has been a steady voice for regional health, land preservation, and smart, sustainable development. Give yourself a seat at the table by supporting Orange Environment Inc. and our partners in land preservation. In whatever way you can, answer that clarion call from 1970 and from the Earth itself: protect our planet, our children’s future, and our only home."
