Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your goodness, mercy, and faithfulness. Your Word says, “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever” (Psalm 107:1). Help us to live each day with a thankful heart, recognizing that every blessing we have comes from You.

Even in difficult moments, let gratitude fill our hearts. Teach us to see Your hand at work in every circumstance. May our thankfulness not depend on what we have, but on who You are — our loving Father and constant provider.

Let our lives overflow with gratitude that brings glory to Your name and reminds others of Your goodness.

In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen.

Hearing God Through Scripture

Many people struggle with Scripture because they were taught to read it like a rulebook or a test. That approach creates pressure and distance. Scripture was never meant to be rushed or mastered. It was meant to shape the heart and reveal who God is.

The Bible is not primarily about information. It is about formation. God speaks through Scripture to guide, correct, comfort, and anchor us in truth. Jesus often quoted Scripture not to impress others, but to steady Himself and others in moments of pressure and temptation.

Hearing God through Scripture does not require deep knowledge or perfect understanding. It requires openness. God meets us in small portions, repeated readings, and quiet reflection. One verse can speak deeply when we allow it to settle.

When Scripture is approached gently, fear fades and trust grows. It becomes less about obligation and more about connection. Over time, Scripture shapes how we think, respond, and live.

This week keeps us grounded in daily life with God. Scripture becomes a steady voice when the world is loud.

Simple practice for this week

Choose a short passage or single verse and read it slowly.
Do not rush to understand everything.
Notice one word or phrase that stands out.
Sit with it quietly and invite God to speak through it.

Identity in Christ

Scripture teaches that our identity is not supposed to be built on pain, failure, approval, or success. Identity in Christ means who God says you are, not what the world labels you. When someone belongs to Jesus, they are forgiven, loved, and being made new. This does not mean life becomes easy. It means life becomes anchored.

Many people live from wounds. They see themselves through what happened to them or what they have done. Scripture shows that God does not define people by their worst moment. He calls people His children, gives them purpose, and teaches them to live from truth instead of shame.

Why that matters

Identity affects everything. It affects relationships, choices, confidence, and how people handle stress. When people do not know who they are, they often chase approval, settle for unhealthy love, or give up too easily. Scripture shows that identity in Christ brings stability because it is rooted in God’s unchanging love.

How this applies to us today

Living from identity in Christ looks like replacing self hatred with truth, and fear with faith. It means you can be honest about your struggles without believing they define you. It also changes how you treat others. When you know your worth comes from God, you stop competing and start loving. You can encourage others, serve without pride, and speak life into people who feel forgotten.
