GRANT TIP: Show the need, then show your plan.

A strong grant application does more than describe a problem. Explain who your nonprofit serves, what you will do with the funding, and how you will measure the results.

For example, instead of saying “We want to help local youth,” say how many young people you plan to serve, what support they’ll receive, and what progress you’ll track.

Clear details help a funder understand the difference their support could make.

What is one result your nonprofit hopes to achieve this year?
