Snowmobile and ORV Safety Classes at the Novi Show
We are proud to announce that we will be sponsoring the Snowmobile Safety Class again this year at the Novi Show. It’s a tradition that we’ve upheld for many years. As in previous years, the class will be taught by two club members with many years of riding experience that have been trained and certified by the DNR to teach the curriculum.
While the DNR offers this class on-line and other clubs and organizations also host in-person classes, this class is like no other available in the state. Because it’s held at the show, we can offer information that’s not available at any other class. In addition to teaching the class material, we draw industry experts off the show floor to come in and speak to the students. Just to mention a few, we plan to have a guest speaker from MISORVA (Michigan Snowmobile & ORV Association) to bring us up to date on some of the things affecting snowmobiling across the state. Similarly, we’ll have a representative from ACSA (American Council of Snowmobile Associations) talk about things that are happening on the federal level. Plus our own club president will share the value of joining a snowmobile club and share insights on group riding.
Since we’re not an ORV club, MISORVA is sponsoring the ORV class on Sunday. But like so many other snowmobilers, a lot of our club members are ORVers also and several have been certified by the DNR to teach the ORV Safety Class, so we’ll be doing that too. And since the Novi show now includes ORVs,we’ll have some of those industry experts come in off the show floor to share their expertise.
The classes are free but you must pre-register through the DNR website at
