Hands-on engineering experience at MIT! π₯π€―
Girl Scout Cadette Troops 70116 and 83234 from Lexington recently visited MIT D-Lab to learn how engineering can be used to address global challenges.
During the visit, the Girl Scouts learned how to create charcoal briquettes from agricultural waste. The project demonstrated how communities in developing nations can convert local organic waste into sustainable, clean-burning cooking fuel using low-cost tools and processes. π
This experience gave Girl Scouts a firsthand look at how STEM skills can be applied to improve lives and solve practical problems around the world. π So cool!
