Thanks to the generosity of our community, JBBBS awarded camp scholarships to 55 Littles this year, totaling nearly $66,000. Last week, we celebrated our team with a summer potluck and a fun surprise.

We asked each staff member to share their unique "superpower" and turned their answers into personalized superhero cards. From staying calm in the storm to being the office detective, each card highlighted the strengths that make our team so special.

It was a wonderful opportunity to laugh, connect, and celebrate the incredible people behind our mission.😄

July is Disability Pride Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the contributions, experiences, and achievements of people with disabilities. The observance marks the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which was signed into law on July 26, 1990.

This year’s theme, “The World Works Better With Us,” highlights the vital role that people with disabilities play in every part of our communities. Disability Pride Month is an opportunity to honor inclusion, promote accessibility, and recognize the value of diverse perspectives and lived experiences.

The Friend 2 Friend (F2F) program connects adults with disabilities to caring volunteer Friends who show up consistently and help build connection, confidence, and belonging. Every match is thoughtfully guided by our professional team so participants and families can feel confident the relationship is safe, meaningful, and well-supported. Most recently, Caryl attended Stonehill College’s senior awards ceremony, where she proudly watched Ori receive not one, not two, but three awards by the end of the night. Matched since Ori was 10 years old, over the years, the two have built a strong and lasting bond.
