🏈 3rd Annual Tyler Davis’ Ballers & Bookworms Youth Football Camp 🏈

We’re back and bigger than ever — and it’s 100% FREE for all youth! 🙌

📍 Manasquan High School Turf Field
📅 Saturday, July 11th

Session 1:
🕘 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
👦👧 Ages 5–9 (Boys & Girls)

Session 2:
🕛 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
👦👧 Ages 10–18 (Boys & Girls)

This camp is all about giving kids the opportunity to learn, compete, and have fun in a positive environment — featuring great coaching, energy, and community. Every participant will receive a FREE t-shirt and additional gifts 🎁

While the camp is free, we encourage donations to help us continue providing opportunities, resources, and support to student-athletes in underserved communities. ❤️

Leadership. Character. Excellence. 👏

We’re incredibly proud of Jordan Wimberly for being recognized by the National Football Foundation and the College Football Hall of Fame as a Student Leader Athlete Award winner, earning a $1,000 scholarship toward his college education.

Jordan represents everything we believe in at Ballers & Bookworms — dedication in the classroom, leadership in the community, and hard work on the field. The future is incredibly bright, and we can’t wait to see all that he accomplishes next. Proud of you, Jordan! 💙

This week we had the privilege of joining Mr. Cabale’s P.O.P. Crew (People of Potential) at P.S.7 Q - The Louis Simeone School Academy via Zoom — an amazing group of 20 young leaders ages 10–11 who are already showing what their potential looks like.

Our Executive Director Tyler Kazio and Board Member Tyler Davis (former Green Bay Packers player and current Birmingham Stallions tight end) spent time answering questions, hearing about the boys’ goals, and sharing an important message: education is the foundation, and when combined with athletics it can create powerful opportunities.

We believe every young person deserves the chance to pursue both — and these young men reminded us why that mission matters. Thank you to Mr. Cabale and the P.O.P. Crew for having us! 👏📚🏈

Some impacts don’t end when the moment passes — they keep growing. 💪

A while back, we had the opportunity to help send Sam to Fargo, North Dakota to compete in the largest wrestling tournament in the world. Checking in on her now and seeing the success she’s having makes us incredibly proud.

Since then, Sam has become a District Champion, finished 2nd in Regionals, and just secured her 100th career win as she prepares for the state tournament.

This is exactly why we do what we do — supporting driven student-athletes who continue to chase greatness long after the opportunity is given. We’ll be cheering you on at states, Sam! 🤼‍♀️🔥

Fast on the track. Even better off of it. 🏃‍♂️

We recently had the opportunity to get one of our Manasquan High School student-athletes a new pair of track spikes — and this weekend he went on to finish 6th in the entire state in the Indoor 55m Hurdles.

But what makes us the most proud isn’t just the result — it’s the person behind it. His work ethic, character, leadership, and dedication in the classroom and in his community make him the exact kind of student-athlete Ballers & Bookworms is proud to support.

Congratulations on an incredible accomplishment. Keep leading, keep working, and keep setting the example for the next generation. 👏

We are beyond proud to have been able to fund for one of our incredible student-athletes to travel to Florida to compete at Cheer Nationals with her high school team. Opportunities like this create memories, confidence, and experiences that last a lifetime — and she earned every second of it through hard work and dedication.

Today we celebrate one of our own as he officially signs his National Letter of Intent to Lincoln University to continue his academic and athletic journey. Watching a student-athlete turn years of hard work, discipline, and belief into this opportunity is exactly why we do what we do.

New wrestling shoes may seem small — but to this student-athlete, they meant belonging, confidence, and a fair shot to compete.

Getting this handwritten thank-you letter reminds us that when we show up for kids, they show up for themselves too.

Sometimes it’s bigger than basketball. 🏀💛

A student-athlete at Monmouth Regional wanted nothing more than to try out for the team — but he didn’t have the shoes to do it. So we stepped in.

What we didn’t expect was the ripple effect… those shoes didn’t just help him compete — they helped him show up. His attendance at school improved. His confidence grew. And he felt seen, supported, and valued.

Hearing this message from the school reminds us exactly why Ballers & Bookworms exists: to level the playing field — on the court, in the classroom, and in life.
