From Taylor’s sermon this last Sunday (5/24/2026): “So, the question for us is this: Do we feel like a place where people feel like they have to translate themselves to belong? Or, a place where people can finally be understood?”

First Pres, we invite you to engage in your curiosity — how do we create an open and welcoming community?

A packed Sunday in the best way. We started strong with Renewed Grace leading a neurodiversity info session, and wrapped up the afternoon with Beer & Hymns at Brotherwell Brewing. We are very thankful for all who attended.

From Leslie’s sermon Last Sunday (4/12/26):
“I watch you keep vigil with the dying… You do not leave a person lonely or unheard… The best thing a pastor gets to do is listen to you tell the stories of each other.”

Before she passed, Delores Horne spoke of her love for sitting in the back pew, quietly watching the sunlight stream into the sanctuary.

As we begin “Remembering Our Dead,” we hold her story—and so many others—with gratitude, tenderness, and love.

A beautiful tribute in our sanctuary this week.

We are honoring the memory of Bill Falco and Figes Davies Flaherty Dow through these stunning floral arrangements, gifted by Bill Falco’s family, and David Dow. In life, Bill and David were dedicated partners in serving our city; today, they remain connected through this meaningful display of remembrance.

Special thanks to for the beautiful photos.
