This Father's Day, we're thinking of men like Jose.

Not long ago, Jose was homeless, coming to us each day for a meal and a place to belong. Life hasn't been easy for him. He's deaf, navigates schizophrenia and autism, and some days are genuinely hard.

But ask him about his son? His whole face lights up.

Today, Jose has a home, stable health, and rarely misses a class. He's still showing up for himself, and for the little boy who needs his dad.

That's what your support makes possible. Happy Father's Day to every man quietly doing the hard, beautiful work of becoming who his family needs him to be. 💙

✨ Honoring Juneteenth 🖤❤️💚

Today we pause to honor Juneteenth and the freedom, resilience, and dignity of the Black community.

At Care Net Pregnancy Center, we believe that every life is sacred and every woman deserves to be seen, supported, and celebrated, regardless of her background, circumstances, or story. That belief does not waver.

Juneteenth reminds us that freedom and dignity are worth fighting for. It is a day to reflect, to honor those who came before us, and to recommit ourselves to serving every woman who walks through our doors with the love and respect she deserves.

✨ A Story of Resilience, Faith, and Community 💛

In 2025, a young mom walked through our doors for a pregnancy test. She had no idea what the next year would hold.

She threw herself into Care Net's programs, and when unpaid maternity leave created financial strain after her baby arrived, we were able to provide rental assistance because of her commitment. In the months that followed, her baby was hospitalized, her apartment flooded, and life kept throwing obstacles her way. And yet she kept going.

But perhaps the most beautiful moment came quietly at the end of an appointment when the conversation shifted from practical needs to something deeper. A few days later she reached out, and this past weekend her Care Net advocate sat beside her in a church pew for the very first time.

Because of donors like you, we were there for every step. Thank you for making stories like this possible. 🙏

✨ Volunteer Spotlight: Sandra✨

Sandra came to Care Net as a recent Baylor graduate completing her senior practicum in Child and Family Studies, and she left with something she did not expect, relationships that will stay with her for life.

During her time with us, Sandra built meaningful connections with both the moms and children we serve, and she credits them for making her experience so impactful.

"I would like to thank the strong mothers who I had the honor of getting to know."

✨ Four Years of TJ and Care Net has never been the same! 🙌

TJ is the heartbeat of our team in ways that are hard to put into words. He loves our staff and our clients fiercely, shows up every single day with patience and grace, and somehow keeps the peace surrounded by a building full of women who adore him. 😄

Most importantly, TJ keeps us grounded in what matters most. He opens the Word with us every day and reminds us that this ministry is not just a job — it is a calling.

TJ, thank you for four years of faithful service, genuine love, and unwavering dedication to the women and families of Care Net. We are so grateful God placed you here. Here's to many more! 🎉💛

Everyone deserves a friend in their corner, someone who shows up, listens without judgment, and reminds you that you are not alone.

That is exactly the kind of community we strive to create at Care Net Pregnancy Center. For many of the men and women who walk through our doors, we become that safe place. A place where they find encouragement, support, and people who genuinely care about their journey.

✨ Employee Spotlight: Deb Beechner, Director of First Impressions✨

Deb's connection to Care Net runs deep. She first walked through our doors as a client in 2019, facing an unplanned pregnancy, homelessness, and addiction. During that season she experienced profound loss when her daughter, Talitha, passed away after only a few short hours. In the midst of that grief, Care Net walked alongside her, prayed for her, provided material support, and met her tangible, spiritual, and emotional needs.

After graduating from the program, Deb returned during a second pregnancy and welcomed her daughter, Juniper, now almost four. Not long after, she felt God calling her back to serve others walking similar paths.

Today, Deb is clean, in the home-building process, and now serves as the Director of First Impressions for Care Net, welcoming every person who comes through our doors with firsthand understanding that healing is possible and hope can be found in the darkest places. We are so grateful she chose to pay it forward and to help be the hands and feet of Jesus!
