Helping Hands operates a Thrift Store to provide gently used items to our community's residents and a Soup Kitchen to respond to the nutritional needs of individuals and families. Proceeds from the Helping Hands Thrift Store further support our programs. The Thrift Store and adjoining Soup Kitchen are located in an expanded facility at 20-26 East Canal Street, Wabash. Dedicated non-paid volunteers

operate the store, prepare and serve meals, and provide a variety of other services. Approximately 11 percent of the total funding of Helping Hands of Wabash County is provided by individuals and church donations. It is our desire to be self-sufficient and not a burden to the community. owns its buildings; its only debt is related to the kitchen and dining room for the Meal of Mercy program. will become debt-free in the event of the death of its CEO.

Helping Hands of Wabash County, Inc.: The annual sign-up for new coats for kids of Wabash County has begun and runs through November 21, 2025. Please come to 20 E. Canal St., Wabash, IN to sign-up. Once orders are filled, parents/guardians will be called to set up a time to bring children and/or young adults in to try coats on to ensure they fit. Sorry, no phone calls, please. Store hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Have a blessed day & please share!
