Community Hospice

Community Hospice Community Hospice is a family owned hospice organization with a Hospice House in Vidalia, GA. Community Hospice has been serving the Community since 1999.

As the original hospice for this area, Community Hospice has over 13 years of service to terminally ill patients and their families. In 2005, Community Hospice founded the area’s only Hospice inpatient facility, Community Hospice House. Today, Community Hospice continues to provide Home Hospice, Hospice House (inpatient), Hospice in Nursing Homes, as well as Hospice in Assisted Living Facilities.

Community Hospice provides compassionate hospice care to 14 counties in southeast Georgia. Community Hospice is dedicated to providing the most compassionate care possible and believes in going above and beyond for both patients and their families. Community Hospice has a variety of outreach programs to help individuals who may be having difficult journeys. This Father’s Day, we honor the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, father figures, and special men who have shaped our lives with love, guidance, strength, and wisdom.

For some, today is filled with celebration, laughter, and time spent together. For others, it may bring memories of a father deeply missed or a love that now lives on in the heart. However this day finds you, we hope you feel surrounded by comfort, peace, and the lasting impact of those who have loved and led us.

At Community Hospice, we are blessed to witness the many ways a father’s love continues - through stories shared, lessons remembered, hands held, and legacies carried forward by the families they leave behind.

To every father and father figure, and to everyone remembering someone special this Father’s Day, we honor you today and always.

Twaneshia Brown Roberts is a dedicated social worker with a heart for serving individuals and families during some of life’s most meaningful and vulnerable moments. A graduate of Swainsboro High School, Class of 2017, Twaneshia went on to earn her Bachelor of Social Work from Savannah State University. She brings 10 years of combined experience in family and children services, including her work with DFCS and the Action Pact Head Start Program.

Twaneshia was drawn to hospice care because she wanted more than just a job—she wanted purpose, stability, growth, and the opportunity to be part of a team where she could contribute in a meaningful way. She believes deeply in treating every patient with dignity, compassion, patience, and respect.

Her philosophy of care is simple but powerful: treat every patient like they matter—because they do. Twaneshia understands that people remember how they are made to feel, especially during their most vulnerable moments. She strives to ensure that every patient feels safe, respected, valued, and genuinely cared for.

For Twaneshia, hospice care is more than a responsibility; it is a calling to serve people when they need it most. What she values most about her work is the ability to provide comfort, compassion, and dignity to patients and families, helping make their experience a little more peaceful and meaningful.
