🐴 Community Spotlight 🐴

If you're looking for something fun to do on the afternoon of July 18th, be sure to check out the Maple Springs Ranch Open House!

Alex has been a valued part of several HAPI horses' journeys, helping them build confidence, learn new skills, and prepare for successful adoption. Through his training and patience, two HAPI horses have already found their forever homes, two more are currently in training, and another is now ready and available for adoption.

Partnerships like these help give horses the opportunity to grow, heal, and find the right match for their next chapter.

If you've ever been curious about Alex's program, trailer loading, obstacle work, or simply want to spend a day around horses and good people, this is a great opportunity to stop by and learn more.

We appreciate Alex and Maple Springs Ranch for being part of the village that helps our horses succeed. ❤️

WEEKLY HAPI UPDATE | JUNE 8–14, 2026

What a week at HAPI Trails!

• 10 participants (13 horses) spent five days learning with Mark Langley, building calmer, more connected partnerships with their horses.

• 15 auditors joined the clinic, gaining valuable horsemanship knowledge and observing each day's lessons.

• Through our ASPCA partnership, three Nevada horses continue settling into HAPI. The Arabian stallion now has a newly fenced corral, while the two mares moved into a larger pasture to begin their recovery.

• Volunteers are already discovering just how sweet the Arabian mares are.

• Dusty, Juniper, and the new mares all received much-needed hoof care from our farrier.

• Eli and Celeste continue training thanks to dedicated sponsorship support and continue making progress toward their future homes.

• Several new volunteers joined the HAPI family through orientation.

• Our new Program Coordinator launched additional volunteer education opportunities designed to build confidence, knowledge, and involvement with the horses.

AND THE TIN CUP CHALLENGE IS OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY!

Every lesson taught, horse rehabilitated, fence repaired, volunteer trained, and horse cared for is possible because of supporters who believe in second chances.

Your Tin Cup Challenge donation helps provide feed, veterinary care, farrier services, training, rehabilitation, and safe housing for horses in need—and every gift will be partially matched.

Because second chances start with you.

As more hikers and horses are hitting the trail, remember that horses always have the right of way. The safest way to get out of their way is to communicate with the rider as soon as they come into view and to then move off the trail—on the downhill side if possible.
