TVYLA Welcomes New High School Coordinators
Teton Valley Youth Lacrosse is excited to introduce Ashley Singleton as our new High School Girls Coordinator and Alicia Russo as our new High School Boys Coordinator!
Both Ashley and Alicia are already familiar faces within our Wolverine community. Ashley is the parent of Colby, now a junior on our High School Girls team, and Alicia is the parent of Jacob, who is entering his freshman year with the High School Boys program and is one of our TVYLA board members.
The addition of High School Coordinators is something we're excited to bring to TVYLA as we continue looking for ways to better support our athletes, coaches and families.
Ashley and Alicia will serve as an important connection between families, coaches and TVYLA leadership. They'll help with many of the behind-the-scenes pieces that keep our High School programs running smoothly. Communication, schedules, travel and game-day logistics, parent volunteers, team activities and supporting our coaching staffs throughout the season.
A big part of these new positions will also be helping our athletes and families navigate opportunities beyond their regular TVYLA season.
Ashley and Alicia will help share information about travel teams, tournaments, camps, clinics and other opportunities for players who want more lacrosse. They'll also help our High School athletes who are interested in playing at the collegiate level better understand the recruiting process and the resources available to them.
That can include helping families understand recruiting timelines and NCAA requirements, sharing educational resources, assisting with things like highlight videos and player résumés, and helping connect athletes with additional recruiting resources and opportunities.
Most importantly, having Ashley and Alicia in these roles gives our families a consistent point of contact while allowing our coaches to spend more of their time doing what we need them to do — coach our athletes.
As parents of current High School players, Ashley and Alicia understand firsthand the time, travel, communication and coordination that comes with a High School lacrosse season. They'll work closely with the Executive Director, Program Directors and Varsity coaching staffs to help make sure our athletes and families have the information and support they need.
We're excited to continue building these positions and the resources available to our High School athletes.
