Great morning, Amazing Caregivers! It has been an interesting week. But, I am so grateful to be a part of a community of caregivers, friends, and those are walking through some tough times. It seems as if this world is getting darker and darker. Therefore, we must look for opportunities to celebrate victories, embrace peace, and receive love. I want you to have a wonderful day!

Today, I had the opportunity to support my dear friend who's husband transitioned. She was an amazing caregiver, Pastor, wife, and mother. Support means everything to a caregiver. And when times like these happen you will still need support after everyone has returned to normal life and you are left with sounds, memories, silence, and grief. It takes the heart of God to care!
To my amazing caregivers, thank you for your service today and everyday.

Today has been really good. I have aggressively done what I asked you all to do - take care of myself. I've experienced extremely high blood pressure, I've had some sleepless nights and irregular eating patterns, all due to internal stress. I'm asking caregivers to take time to care for yourselves. It's all going to be there, but you may not be. I'm feeling much better and my health is back to normal for the most part. I've incorporated workouts and rest. Now that the sun is out, I'm planning to go for a ride.

Great morning, amazing Caregivers! You are important, and what you do is important. What used to be on the back burner and not important is getting traction. More and more are sharing their caregiving stories. Mine is a five-year journey of caring for others while losing myself. I have battle wounds that only God can heal, and He did. I have been disappointed about how caregivers are treated, but never disappointed with who we impact. As we are at the halfway mark of the close of this year, I still

Caregiving doesn't always leave much room for yourself. Mental Health Awareness Month is an opportunity for caregivers to take stock and keep their mental health on track. Not sure where to start? Try:

Great day, amazing caregivers! Mother's Day can be just another day for those who are caregivers. Today, from one caregiver to another, please receive your flowers. You deserve this and more. Always remember to put the oxygen on yourself first.

It would be ideal to have breakfast cooked for you, be able to lie in bed a little longer, have a cup of hot coffee without interruptions, or go get a long-overdue massage. But for a caregiver, holidays can be the most stressful time of the year. Why, you may ask? Because that's when help is really scarce. Everyone is trying to be pampered at the same time. So, I say to my amazing caregivers who are caring for anyone (my husband) on this weekend that's supposed to be ours, do everything you can to pamper yourself at home. Don't give in to depression, loneliness, or isolation. Do something, anything, to honor you. They will be fine if you take time for you! Remember, we must put the oxygen on first. Thank you for your service! The Cape of a Caregiver, Silent Heroes, Unsung Heroes.

Well, hello amazing caregivers! Most of you may know by now that my mother transitioned a month ago today. For 10 months, my sister and I were the primary caregivers, and it was tough, but our honor. I've had a month to adjust, readjust, and rest from lack of rest. As someone who helped others through grief and bereavement for 10 years, it must be said that sometimes nothing needs to be said; it is called the Ministry of Presence. Just be there when we call.
Most caregivers are overstimulated and hypersensitive; therefore, too much at one time is even more overwhelming. We are learning life a new way, and it will take a wise person to know what to do and when to do it. I'm at it again, caring for another loved one who is on a journey of a new way of life. And again, I have to put the oxygen on me first. There are so many beautiful moments in caregiving that we need to share. The joy when a person can be vulnerable and respected at the same time, to smile when you're assisting them, and the peace they receive when you say, you're in Queen-mode. And my, my did she enjoy it.
Caregivers are Silent Heroes and I am honored to be and bring more awareness to our struggles. If you know someone who's a caregiver, support them as often as you can. Every kind act matters. There's one more thing you can do...GIVE!
Did you know that it is very rare that a primary caregiver received funds? That most use their money to care for loved one. Did you most caregivers have to home because there is no one to relieve them when they need a break? Did you most caregivers loses their jobs because they can't afford to pay someone to come and care for their loved ones appropriately? We try to offset that as much as possible. Thank you for your gift! It matters more than you know.
