Spring Yard Waste Clean-Up Weekend

Residents,

📅 Spring Yard Waste Clean-Up Weekend is coming!
Mark your calendars for April 18th and 19th.

📍 Location: Dumpsters will be placed behind the former real estate building at the corner of Riverbirch Drive and Woodlake Blvd.

🌿 What’s allowed (the “green light” 👍):
Leaves, branches, and other yard waste only.

🚫 What’s not allowed (the “hard pass” ✋):
No household trash, construction debris, or plastic bags.

✂️ Quick reminder:
Please cut branches to 6 feet or less before disposal.

This is a reminder that sledding, skiing, tubing, or any similar activity on The Maples Course is strictly prohibited. These activities result in significant damage to the turf and are not permitted under any circumstances. Thank you for your cooperation, and please stay warm.

Woodlake POA Weather Alert Notice

Dear Woodlake Residents

Ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents is our top priority. The POA office, Board Directors along with our maintenance and security teams, has been monitoring the potential storm.

Residents of Moore County are advised to prepare for potential snowfall as part of the weather forecast. The forecast indicates a chance of snow, with a 30% chance of precipitation expected. This could lead to cold temperatures and potentially hazardous conditions. It is recommended that residents take necessary precautions, such as checking road conditions and planning travel accordingly. Additionally, staying updated with local weather alerts and news can provide the latest information on snowfall and other weather-related events.

Also, as advised by the Moore County Sheriff’s Department:

Moore County residents are encouraged to download the free app ReadyNC onto their smartphones to receive storm-related information.

You can also sign up for alerts from the Moore County Sheriff’s Department via the community’s warning system. Moore County residents should sign up at CodeRED. https://accountportal.onsolve.net/moorepublicsafetync

Additionally, you should consider the following measures to prepare for this storm:

Have an emergency preparedness kit:

This should include supplies for at least three days, including food, water, flashlights, batteries, a first aid kit, and other needs, including prescription medications.

Woodlake Roadways

Residents,

This is reminder that the Woodlake POA oversees all roadways within our community. Major intersections will be treated with salt during this weekend’s storm. If travel isn’t necessary, please avoid driving. Stay safe and remain at home whenever possible.
