🐾 Operation Farm Cat Update 🐾

We’ve got some good news and a little hard news to share.

✅ Good news first: All of our kitties have now been fully vetted and brought up to date on everything! Operation Farm Cat is officially caught up, and we couldn’t have done it without all of you who’ve donated, shared, adopted, and supported along the way.

💔 Now the tough part: Our sweet black-and-white kitty, who was scheduled to head to his new home today, has been diagnosed with a likely cancerous condition. He’ll be staying here at the feed store while we wait on biopsy results and explore treatment options.

If anyone would like to help with his medical care or ongoing treatment, donations can be made directly to Thundering Hill Feed & Supply. Every little bit helps us give him the best possible care and keep Operation Farm Cat moving forward.

🐾🌿 Operation Farm Cat Update 🌿🐾
At Operation Farm Cat, we have been dedicated to rescuing and caring for animals in need that are dumped at our farm. From chickens and rabbits to puppies and kittens, we have seen it all.

Currently, are completely full.

Our commitment to these animals goes beyond just providing shelter. Each spay/neuter costs us $90-$115 out of pocket, with additional expenses for flea treatments, wormings, and more, totaling about $150-$175 per kitty. We ensure they receive flea treatment topicals, a capstar on intake, and are properly wormed.
This year alone, we have already helped over 22 animals, with 6 more scheduled for Tuesday. It has been an incredible journey, and we have met so many amazing friends along the way.

Operation Farm Cat has been a project we started awhile back. We have dump offs at our farm constantly. We have been taking these critters and getting them vetted. Over the years we’ve had chickens, rabbits, puppies, and kitten after kitten.

We have 5 male kittens and a young female that needs homes.

Below is an average receipt. This costs us out of pocket $90-$115. With flea treatements, wormings, etc not counting feed and supplies we probably have about $150-175 into each kitty.

We also get them flea treatment topicals, a capstar on intake, and worm them.

This year alone we’ve done over 22 with 6 more going Tuesday.

It’s been a pretty cool project. We’ve met a lot of friends.
