A nozzle helps firefighters control how water is delivered. Different designs provide different stream options, and crews train to understand the equipment they use.

Effective nozzle work takes practice and communication between the nozzle team and pump operator.

Dawson VFC Hoagie Sale Update

Hello everyone!

Due to unforeseen circumstances and the upcoming holiday weekend, we have decided to cancel our November hoagie sale.

But don't worry, we'll be back at it in March 2027!

We want to take a moment to thank everyone who supported our hoagie sales throughout 2026. Whether you picked up inperson/placed an order or helped spread the word, we truly appreciate your support.

📣And stay tuned! While our hoagie sales are taking a break, our fundraising efforts aren't! We have some new raffles coming during the off-season, so keep an eye on our page for upcoming announcements.

🤩We also have another community event planned for December! We're looking forward to bringing everyone together again, and we'll be sharing more details in the coming days.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone again in March and hopefully welcoming some new faces for the 2027 hoagie sale season!

It was great seeing so many families and children enjoying the evening. Events like this remind us just how special our small community really is.

⏰🔥 SAFETY TIP SUNDAY — CHANGE YOUR CLOCKS, CHECK YOUR ALARMS!

Daylight Saving Time ends today, and while you're changing those clocks, take a few minutes to check your smoke alarms!

🏠 Test every smoke alarm in your home.

🔋 Replace batteries when needed, following the manufacturer's instructions.

📅 Check the manufacture date. Smoke alarms generally need to be replaced 10 years after manufacture.

🚪 Make sure everyone in your household knows what to do when an alarm sounds.

A few minutes today could make all the difference tomorrow.
