Recent posts within various communities regarding educators committing sexual abuse and grooming serve as an important reminder of why prevention education matters. SAFE remains dedicated to providing free educational programs throughout our local school districts to help protect children and empower students with knowledge.
Our Body Safety programs, presented in accordance with Erinโs Law, are designed to educate students about the warning signs and risk factors of sexual abuse, how to identify trusted and safe adults, healthy boundaries, and how to seek help if they or someone they know has experienced abuse.
In addition to student education, SAFE also collaborates with School Resource Officers and local law enforcement professionals to provide specialized trainings for educators. These trainings help school staff better recognize signs of abuse and grooming behaviors, understand reporting responsibilities, and strengthen efforts to create safer environments for students.
Education and awareness are powerful tools in preventing sexual violence. SAFE is committed to continuing these important conversations and ensuring students, families, educators, and communities have access to resources, support, and prevention education.
