Frequently Asked Questions

1- When will the event start and end?
- The event starts Sunday at 6PM. It will end Monday at 8AM.

2- What if some or part of my group needs to arrive late/leave early?
- No Problem! Just let City Museum staff know when those
members of your group will be arriving/leaving and we will be
ready for you. However, please do have your group ready to depart at 8AM on Monday. We are unable to accommodate later departure times.

3- Where will we park?
- Parking will be provided in the City Museum lot on 16th street, right in front of the museum entrance. This is the lot directly in front of the museum building; Parking is free for all sleepover attendees.

4- Where will we sleep?
- Sleeping space will be provided in Architectural Hall on the 3rd floor or the Vault Room on the 2nd floor. You will be directed to your assigned sleeping area upon arrival. PLEASE bring your things in right away, after everyone is checked in we close the front doors and do not allow people to exit and re-enter the museum unless there is an emergency (this includes smokers). This area will be lights-out & quiet between 10PM and 6AM.

5- What should we bring?
- Everyone should bring a sleeping bag or bedroll & pillow, (air mattresses are allowed) pjs or comfortable clothes for sleeping. You may also wish to bring toiletries such as hairbrushes, toothbrushes & toothpaste, and a change of clothes. Snacks and beverages are allowed, however no alcohol or glass container are permitted.. There are no vending machines in the museum. Drinks are provided at mealtime but not throughout the night. We suggest bringing a re-usable water bottle so that you may refill from the drinking fountains if needed. Please also make sure your children have any prescription medication, inhalers, etc. that they require.

6- What should we leave at home?
- We would encourage you to leave small electronics (hand-held game consoles, mp3 players, etc) at home, and to remember we cannot be responsible for lost items. We promise there’ll be plenty to keep you from getting bored!

7- When and how shall I pay for my group?
- The cost is $33.00 per person. $10.00 per person is due when registering and is non-refundable. The balance of $23.00 per person is paid when you arrive. This means if your numbers drop after registering, the $10.00 per person is not applied to your balance due. . Please have one payment for your group. Please do not send payment ahead of time. We can accept MasterCard, Visa, cash or cashier’s check as payment. PLEASE NOTE- We are no longer able to accept checks, including Troop checks, as payment, and I am not allowed to make ANY exception to this policy.

8- I gave you a credit card number/ check for my reservation- was I charged? Will I be charged?
- You are charged $10.00 per person when registering your troop. This is a nonrefundable registration fee.
