Help Shape the Vallejo Waterfront

The City of Vallejo, through a USDA Urban Greening Grant*, is improving the Waterfront and requests community feedback! Please come provide input on preferred tree types, planting styles, and pedestrian elements to help bring this community waterfront vision to life.

Are you a budding drag artist? You're invited to perform your favorite drag number at the Fairfield Civic Center library on Thursday, June 18th at 6:00 PM! This is a showcase for drag performers who are honing their craft. All performers must register beforehand using this link https://solanolibrary.libnet.info/event/16392738.

Everyone is welcome to attend, whether or not you are performing.

Hosted by Hennessy Williams, the reigning Mx. NorCal Quing Pageant Winner, who will also grace attendees with a special performance.

Mare Island Maritime

The park will open one ship or more at Mare Island in Vallejo, CA on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00pm – 4:00pm, pending staff availability. The ships are berthed at the Mare Island Coal Sheds at 860 Nimitz Avenue, Vallejo, CA 94592.

Visit the ships, talk to park rangers, and learn how these ships represent America’s maritime heritage on the Pacific Coast.

Check the park website and social media for information regarding status of ships being open.

Entry is $15 per person and may be purchased at the gangway. An America the Beautiful Pass, or any other valid park pass, will also cover entry costs. One pass covers the card holder and three additional adults. Only credit card and mobile pay are accepted. Everyone 15 years of age and younger is free. Food, drinks, smoking, and pets are not allowed on ships.

Admission to C. A. Thayer will be free on Saturday, June 20 for the chantey sing. Be on the lookout for a chantey sing post! Hope to see you at the ships one of these weekends!
