Friends,

Last Sunday around 2:15 am, I felt a heart attack coming on. Tried a few Nitro Tabs under my tongue....not much benefit. So, about 2:45, Jodie had me at the Bakersfield Heart Hospital.

Yes, I was having another, that reminded me of 7 years ago, almost to the day!

No chest pain in those 7 year's, then, ......BANG!

Had Angioplasty procedure at 9:30 am, finished 3 hours later. 1 Stent installed, vessels cleaned out.....'Rotor-Rooter' style! Jeffrey & Leslie arrived shortly into my 8 hour recovery period, after a 5 hour drive.

Jodie had gone home to sleep, so they took over the 'watch'.

My blood pressure was all over the place.....up, down, up. The next 5 days were spent getting the pressure, and some swelling back to normal.

My son has me at his house, for now. A week into recovery, every day, a tad better, but still feel like I was hit by a bus, and sleeping 14 hours a day, but sooooo much better than my attack of 7 years ago!

Leslie put out a few up dates, but this up date, is for you that may have missed hers.

Thanks to Jeffrey, Leslie, Jodie, and all the others who have been so helpful during the last 8 days!

Happy Holidays everybody.

Yesterday was the Board Meeting. Everybody thinks that they will be bored at the Board Meeting. (Terrified occasionally...more on that later) However, there is usually food and sometimes we get out on the water and even enjoy a breeze after surviving the hot winds and organizational fervor.

New members and guests are always welcome at GCYC. Boat not required. Hop aboard and take a cruise with us!

We crossed Big Water to the land of Benicia and said hello had pie and whiskey and a generally good time.

GREEN METEOR!

Last night, Saturday, at around 9:05 pm, I saw a large, green 'fireball', from my boat at the marina. It was directly South on my compass, and appeared about 45 to 50 degrees up the sky....and disappeared behind hills. It was South of Vallejo, California, S.F Bay area.

Did anyone else also see it?

If so, what was your location, and roughly what direction, did you see it. It was big!

Falcon-9 launch looked very impressive from Bakersfield, California, at 2:30 am this morning, 20 minutes ago!

That big, long flame in the Southwest sky, looks so close, yet it's 100's of miles away..... what a glow! Heading down in the direction of Baja California!

Always so amazing......

Rocket launch alert!

Next SpaceX rocket launch is scheduled for TONIGHT.....at 10:33 pm!

It's about a 4 hour window, but if all is well, they'll try to get it off at 10:33, when the launch 'window' opens. It will head south, from Vandenberg SFB.

South launches are usually excellent displays to watch!

Look in the direction of where you think Santa Barbara is, from your location!

Glen Cove Walrus Club First Annual Swim -- January 1, 2023. We did it. A little mid-winter swim in the harbor to welcome the New Year. Starring Marc Garman YOUR Vice Commodore (yada, yada, yada) and Ms. Collette Sweeney.
