We are so pleased to welcome Tobias Duke to our staff! Not only is he coming on as a vocal teacher but he is also Musical Director for our FIRST EVER musical theater program this summer! He is available Mondays and Thursdays. Call or reach out to us today to signup for a lesson!

Tobias graduated summa cm laude from Castleton University with a B.A. in Music and an A.S. in Business Administration, later earning his MBA with a focus on Leading Organizational Change. As a versatile music director, collaborative pianist, and educator, his work spans professional, community, and educational theater. His extensive credits include serving as music director and conductor for productions such as Guys & Dolls, Mamma Mia, The Sound of Music, and Grease. In addition to his role at BVM, Tobias serves as the Staff Accompanist for Concord-Carlisle High School and Director of Music Ministry at Immanuel Lutheran Church. With a background in arts administration and brand strategy, he brings a unique blend of creative vision and operational insight to his role as Theater Program Director. Tobias is dedicated to helping students of all skill levels find their voice and perform at their best through individualized instruction and collaborative storytelling.

You may recognize these two. Both are stellar musicians that we have had the pleasure of watching grow into amazing human beings. They also keep everything together at Blackstone Valley Music on a daily basis and we could not do what we do without our valuable administrators. Please join us in congratulating Natasha Carreiro and Charlie Randell on what we are sure will be the first of many major accomplishments in their lives. We are so proud of you! We can't wait to see what you do next and are thrilled for the future.

Thank you again for the support of our official ribbon cutting and great unveiling of the new signs! We could not have achieved such a milestone without the support of our donors, our board, our logo designer Chris Lebold, Signs by Cam and Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce. It was a very nice surprise to receive some official citations from the MA state House and Senate thanks to Representative Soter, Representative McKenna and Senator Fattman. We don't take this lightly and intend to continue to add to the vibrancy of our community for years to come!

Ribbon Cutting TOMORROW! Weds May 20th! We may have gotten a little overly excited today and accidentally sent out an email saying that our event was today. It is definitely Tomorrow!

We will be doing our best anti-thunderstorm dance for the afternoon to give us a nice half an hour of weather to have a small ceremony for our new signs.

TOMORROW WEDS MAY 20 at 4pm!

IT'S ALMOST TIME! Join us for a sweet little ceremony to celebrate our brand new signs! We could not have done this without our generous donors from our end of year campaign!

Tours of our facility after will be available and some light refreshments.

Open Call & Additional Roles!! We are still looking to fill the roles of Benjamin Coffin III, Tom Collins, and other featured singing/spoken roles.

To help us complete the cast, we are holding an Open Call next Saturday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, right before callbacks begin.

If you know anyone who might be right for these roles, please send them our way (forms.gle/81A4pcGDqgYkT8YP7 or an email to [email protected]).

Additionally, we are now accepting video submissions for the open roles above and additional ensemble members (due by Thursday, May 14th at 6:00 PM). Please record yourself singing, ideally with the instrumental track, but acapella (unaccompanied) is also acceptable.

Anyone who submits a video audition or attends next weekend may be asked to return for callbacks next Saturday, so please share this with any interested performers.
