🧦 Big Ideas Start with Something as Simple as a Sock!

Last night, our Fayette County Biz Wiz Kids was back in action after a summer break, and we were excited to welcome a few new club members to join in on the fun!

For this meeting, we focused on branding and understanding your target customer. Each kidpreneur selected a different type of customer and their challenge was to turn that sock into a product their specific customer would actually want to buy.

They had to think beyond just making a cool design. They created a sock and brand name, decided what made their product special, set a price, developed a slogan, and explained why their target customer would buy it.

The best part? Everyone started with the same white sock, but the finished products were completely different because they were designed for different customers! It was a fun way to reinforce an important lesson for any entrepreneur: you aren't just creating something YOU like. You have to understand what YOUR CUSTOMER wants!

We loved seeing the creativity and ideas that came out of this activity, and we're especially happy to see our Biz Wiz Kids Club growing!

Kids ages 8–16 are invited to enjoy an evening of creativity, learning, and fun while exploring entrepreneurship and building valuable business and leadership skills. New members are always welcome, and no previous business experience is needed!

Our July 27, 2026 Biz Wiz Kids Club meeting has been CANCELED due to scheduling conflicts for many of our young entrepreneurs and their families.

We are canceling our Biz Wiz Kids meeting scheduled for Monday, July 27.

We've heard from many of our members and Young Entrepreneur Showcase participants that they are unavailable that evening, and rather than have so many of our young entrepreneurs miss out, we've decided it's best to reschedule.

Last night, our Biz Wiz Kids Club welcomed 9 young Kidpreneurs for an interactive session all about understanding customers and providing great customer service! 🌟

The group explored who their customers are, why people buy certain products, and what makes a business stand out from the competition. Through hands-on activities, our young entrepreneurs created customer profiles, identified what makes their products unique, and put their detective skills to work by solving customer challenges and designing products to meet specific needs.

One of the biggest lessons of the evening was that knowing your customer helps you make better business decisions, and that your uniqueness is your superpower! 💡

We are proud of these young entrepreneurs for their creativity, confidence, and willingness to share their ideas. We can't wait to see how they continue to grow their businesses and develop their customer service skills.

Our next meeting is scheduled for July 27 at 6pm at the Fayette Chamber of Commerce!

Big ideas start here 💡

Hey parents… do you have a kid who is always thinking, creating, or coming up with their next big idea? Biz Wiz Kids is the place for them!

We had to switch things up because of Memorial Day, so instead of our usual fourth Monday, we are meeting on Monday, June 1 at 6:00 PM at the Fayette Chamber Office, 65 W. Main Street, Uniontown

This is not your typical “meeting.” Kids will have fun while learning how to turn their ideas into something real. They will build confidence, learn cool business skills, share their ideas, and meet other kids just like them.
Whether your child already has a business or just a spark of an idea, they belong here.
