🏆 Boo Bash CHAMPIONS! 🏆

What a way to wrap up the fall season for the Lady Dukes WPA Crayton 9U! After going 1-1 Saturday, the girls came back Sunday and picked up two big wins to bring home the hardware!

Game 1 vs. Unity Slappo 9U — W 11-5

After falling behind 5-0, the girls battled back to get the win! Alexis Bales, Alaina Roberts, and Mina Nemeth each picked up two hits, with Alaina and Mina driving in three runs apiece. Maisy Gorman threw all four innings, striking out five while allowing just two hits.

Game 2 vs. Pittsburgh Spirit 9U — W 12-2

The bats stayed hot with another 10 hits! Alexis Bales, Bella Savage, Maci Watkins, and Brynlee Crayton each collected two hits. Bella drove in six runs and threw four strong innings with 11 strikeouts while allowing just two hits.

Sunday Totals: 23 runs, 20 hits, and 16 strikeouts!

Really proud of how these girls battled today and how far they've come this fall. Still plenty of work ahead of us, but what a way to finish the season!

Time to get to work this winter and come back even stronger in the spring!

Boo Bash — Day 1 Recap

The Lady Dukes WPA Crayton 9U finished pool play 1-1 today and head into bracket play tomorrow as the #3 seed!

Game 1 vs. Unity Slappo 9U — L 8-6

The girls came out swinging, jumping out to a 4-2 lead in the first inning, highlighted by an inside-the-park home run from Bella Savage! Unity battled back and took the lead, and despite adding two more runs, we came up just short, 8-6. The girls finished with six hits, while Scarlett Strotz and Maci Watkins combined for six strikeouts in the circle.

Game 2 vs. Pittsburgh Spirit 9U — W 11-2

Much better showing in Game 2! The bats came alive with eight hits, including a big six-run third inning. Alexis Bales led the way going 3-for-3 with 4 RBIs, while Bella Savage added two hits and 3 RBIs. Bella and Maisy Gorman combined for nine strikeouts, allowing just three hits in the win.

Game MVPs:

Game 1 — Bella Savage came up with a big inside-the-park home run to get the girls going!

Game 2 — Alexis Bales had a heck of a game at the plate, going 3-for-3 and driving in 4 runs!

Definitely some good things from the girls today, along with a few things we still need to clean up. I liked the way they bounced back after a tough first game and finished the day strong.

We head into bracket play tomorrow as the #3 seed, with a rematch against Unity Slappo at 9 AM. One more day to finish out our fall season strong!

Also, head over to the Diamond Divas page and help support our girls in the Best Halloween Costume contest! Find our team's picture and give it a like to cast your vote. Let's show these girls some love!
