Yesterday we had the privilege of hosting a tabletop of the New Jersey Emergency Task Force.

This group brings together government and non-profit partners who work collaboratively to ensure our communities can still access the food resources they need during and other disruptions, such as the COVID pandemic and recent interruption to SNAP benefits.

We plan and build our capabilities together year-round to stay ready for that may impact our state and its residents.

It is an honor to work alongside such and committed partners in our mission to communities in crisis!

This week our team had the opportunity to attend the New Jersey Emergency Preparedness Association Conference at the hotel in Atlantic City.

This is an awesome opportunity to meet new agencies, rekindle long-standing , and see the latest developments in the field, all with the goal of creating a more New Jersey!

This week our team had the opportunity to participate in an equipment demonstration at Middlesex County Fire Academy, where countywide management partners can see what specialized equipment is available to support their operations and personnel.

With our canteen and field kitchen, The Salvation Army provides critical and hydration services to disaster responders and during complex incidents.

It is an honor to partner with so many excellent agencies to serve New Jersey communities in need!

Yesterday our team participated in a sheltering at The College of New Jersey, where over a 100 staff and volunteers from various state and local agencies gathered to review procedures for setting up and managing an emergency .

Exercises like this are a critical element of and help ensure that those impacted by can receive the assistance they need quickly and effectively.

We are grateful for the many valuable partnerships represented through this project. Emergency management is a effort and we are honored to have an important role!

Every other Friday, a team of committed volunteers from The Salvation Army Trenton Citadel Corps takes one of our response canteens throughout Trenton, providing hot , items, socks, and more to neighbors in need! So far this year, this program alone has provided nearly 1,000 meals.
