The VOFS beach was the scene last night of the "Under the Mayan Moon" party 🎉 !!! With clear skies, gorgeous weather, and awesome authentic Mexican dishes by Mi Mexico Lindo of Carbondale-- everyone enjoyed an incredibly fun evening!

Special thanks go out to Social Committee chairs and their spouses---Margie and Dave Cassel and Suzy Gomlick and Peter Hughes -- who directed set up, chose themes and menus-- and provided their own homemade signature drink concoctions and side salads and desserts for all revelers to enjoy!

Jamie from our VOFS team managed the venue set up and David Franceski and Colin Donahoe from rec staff moved the tables from the boardwalk to create the festive dining scene. Thank you to our amazing staff for their efforts!

The pavillion lights burned bright into the night marking one of the most perfect dining events ever at the VOFS!

Yesterday at the lake, VOFS general manager and fishing legend John Boandl, conducted a fishing clinic for kids and adults! Skills like casting, hook baiting, landing and release were perfected by all participants. Spinner and artificial worm baits did the trick as multiple bass were pulled in over the course of two hours from both the shore and from the VOFS row boat.

Halloween night at the VOFS 2024 was a spooktacular evening complete with a costume parade, trick or treating for kids, an incredible magic show extravaganza with a return of the famous “Diamond John” AND of course the Haunted Forest!!

Special thanks to Lorrie and her staff who worked so hard on our favorite summer event of the year. Jonathan Lomma once again thrilled the audience with his spellbinding mind reading and sleight of hand ( really— how did he get all those numbers and cards right— and how did that newspaper get whole again?) The haunted forest was terrifying and fun thanks to Ted and Judy Felix, Chris and Kim Felix, Shea and Jonathan Lomma, Marty Cohick, Jeff Dunn, Jason Tonkin, Teddy Felix and Chris Draina.

So much fun last night at VOFS ladies night! Thank you Carrie Alfano for hosting! Lots of bingo winners who received make up bag prizes with lottery cards enclosed! Cocktails and delicious dips were plentiful and tasty.

On to Carol’s for Sangria for our next VOFS ladies club event. Don’t miss the fun ladies!!

What a great “Havana Nights” theme party at VOFS!! Thank you Social Committee, VOFS staff and of course our magnificent chef D.J. and his partner Emma!! Food was incredible as always— a perfect evening!!

12 Village Ladies lit up the night with a luminary craft, yummy food, drinks and laughter! Ursula Hobson hosted the group and Ellen Fuller provided materials to make a beautiful candle craft. Hidden talents and Village history flowed along with wine throughout the evening! Another fun night at the VOFS!!!

So much fun in the Village at H***y Tonk Croquet! Congrats to winners Molly Klinges , Ellen Fuller and Charlie Cox! Food by DJ did not disappoint and a wonderful time was had by all! Thank you Lorrie and staff as well as VOFS social committee for planning this great event!
