UCA 8U All-Stars Headed to the Jerry Barry Championship! 🎉

UCA 8U All Stars won big over Castro Valley 8U Jerry Barry 19-6 on Wednesday at Anthony W. Ochoa Middle School.

UCA 8U All Stars got on the board in the top of the second inning after Lucas Y singled, scoring one run, Isaac L drew a walk, scoring one run, Moira S doubled, scoring two runs, and Grant G doubled, scoring one run.

UCA 8U All Stars scored five runs on three hits in the top of the third inning. Ayden C drew a walk, scoring one run, Lucas singled, scoring one run, Giovanni B drew a walk, scoring one run, Isabelle M drew a walk, scoring one run, and Deion S singled, scoring one run.

UCA 8U All Stars scored five runs on three hits in the top of the fourth inning. Grant singled, scoring one run, Roman T singled, scoring two runs, and Tristan R doubled, scoring two runs.

Roman started on the bump for UCA 8U All Stars. The hurler surrendered four hits and four runs over three innings, striking out five and walking two. Ben B opened the game for Castro Valley 8U Jerry Barry. The pitcher gave up two hits and five runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking four. Moira appeared in relief for UCA 8U All Stars.

UCA 8U All Stars piled up 12 hits in the game. Lucas, Deion, Roman, and Grant each collected two hits for UCA 8U All Stars. Deion and Isaac were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for UCA 8U All Stars. Ayden led UCA 8U All Stars with three walks.

Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up 16 walks for the game. UCA 8U All Stars were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Lucas had the most chances in the field with seven.

UCA 8U All Stars collected 10 hits and Tennyson Amer. LL Jerry Barry had four in the high-scoring affair.
