105 student artworks have been selected for display as part of Discovery Park’s Celebrating 250 Years Of Independence programming.

Finalists and their families are invited to attend the Award Ceremony on Friday, July 3, at 2 p.m. at Discovery Park. The exhibit will remain open through July 9.

Grab your lawn chairs, fishing poles and the whole family for a summer evening by the water! Emily McGill and Adam Wakefield take the Total Tech Solutions Stage tonight at 6:30 p.m., bringing original music to the Train Depot. Gates open at 5 p.m., so come early, cast a line and enjoy the atmosphere before the show begins.

Emily McGill is a Jackson, Tennessee, country singer-songwriter known for her powerful vocals, storytelling and West Tennessee roots. Adam Wakefield, a “The Voice” Season 10 finalist, blends country, soul, rock and blues with honest songwriting and dynamic performances.

Discovery Park of America is seeking a Grounds Worker to help maintain its 50-acre heritage park on the weekends.

Responsibilities include turf maintenance, planting, irrigation support and special event assistance. Candidates should have landscaping experience, equipment operation skills and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
