This is pretty cool, the Leslie and Cutter 29 years apart. It may be little difficult to tell which is which!

🙏 Bigger Than The Game 🙏

“Like Father, Like Son.”

29 years ago, in 1997, Leslie Bruce won the Walt Depew Lineman Award for the Childress Bobcats.

Tonight, his son, Cutter Bruce, won the very same award.

The Walt Depew Award is presented each year to the Lineman of the Year for Childress Bobcat football. Leslie Bruce was the third recipient in the award’s history and the last winner who was coached by Walt Depew himself, who served for years on Coach Charlie Johnston’s staff as the Bobcats’ offensive line coach.

Both father and son played center during their senior seasons for the Bobcats.

After Cutter’s grandmother shared pictures from Leslie’s award night back in 1997, Cutter went and found his dad’s old suit and tie and wore them to recreate the moment 29 years later.

Some things are just bigger than the game. ❤️🏈
