SORRY ABOUT THE LATE POST!!!
On 1/10/26 and 1/11/26 we held our 3rd Annual Wellington VFD Varmint Hunt. As a Volunteer department funds can be hard to come by. Fundraisers like this one are crucial for the department so that we may replace outdated gear and equipment, as well as keep our trucks up and running so that we may continue protect our community. So on behalf of the department and the community as a whole, thank you to everyone who made this possible.
This year we had 32 teams entered. Thanks to these hunters there are more than 178 coyotes that are no longer a threat to peoples livestock and pets.
Each side pot this year was worth $800. Winners are as follows:
Heaviest Hog winner with a weight of 273.3lbs - Hot Shots
Most Dogs with 23 dogs killed - Guaranteed Guide Services
Smallest Dog this year weighing 16.44lbs -Varmint Vendetta
Target Weight Dog. Our target weight this year was 26.52lbs. This pot had a 3-way tie that was broken by earliest timestamp so congratulations Black Diamond with 26.45lbs.
Main pot winners are as follows.
3rd place team took home $1,300 with a 4 Stringer weight of 129.47lbs - Wilco Fur Stackers
2nd place team received a check for $1,950. With a total weight of 130.12lbs Rolla Outfitters
And finally 1st place winners of the 3rd Annual Wellington VFD Varmint Hunt and $3,250 with a 4 Stringer weight of 147.54 congratulations to Guaranteed Guide Services.
