Big thanks to everyone who enjoyed Tall, Terrifying and True-ish Tales last night at the Umatilla Public Library. The storytelling by Mike Cross, Richard Cronin, Kelly Lovell, Bob Greiner, and Adam Bolton, made us realize that strange things can happen anywhere, anytime. Our DJ, Vinyl Brennan, kept things lively and gave us a chance to socialize and munch our popcorn and “spirits”. It was BYOB! Mi Gordita Loca provided a takeout “library special”, and Leslie Wasgatt of Far Reach Scream Park decorated the tables. The North Lake Outpost and the Umatilla Chamber of Commerce helped promote this event. What Halloween event would be complete without a hearse? Ours was provided by Beyers Funeral Home. What a fantastic night! See you next year.

The “real” Indiana Jones, Monday, October 26, 2:00 at the Umatilla Library! Do you know the inspiration for this character lived close by? Learn about the swashbuckling explorer and adventurer from author Richard Chronin, when he talks about Edgar J. Banks. Our own Mike Cross in full Indiana garb with his whip will provide plenty of atmospheric cracking.
