🎉 NEARLY $5 MILLION AWARDED TO ADVANCE TRIBAL HOUSING DEVELOPMENT! 🎉

Northern Circle Indian Housing Authority (NCIHA) is proud to announce that TWO Tribal housing development projects have been awarded a combined $4,974,500 through the California Strategic Growth Council's (SGC) Tribal Pre-Development Program!

NCIHA will work in partnership with and on behalf of the tribe to administer each of the projects!!

🏡 Berry Creek Rancheria – $3,000,000

Maidu Mountain Lion Housing Development

This investment will support Phase I infrastructure improvements necessary to advance the development of 22 much-needed affordable homes for Berry Creek Rancheria Tribal members. Funding will help address critical infrastructure costs, strengthen construction readiness, and bring the Tribe one step closer to making its housing vision a reality.

🏡 Manchester Point Arena Band of Pomo Indians – $1,974,500

Tribal Housing Pre-Development

This award will support the revitalization of the Tribe's affordable housing development plans through essential pre-development activities, including planning, architectural and engineering services, environmental studies, and infrastructure assessments. These investments will establish a stronger foundation for future construction funding and long-term housing development.

🌿 Building the Foundation for Future Generations

Pre-development funding is a critical investment in Tribal housing. By addressing the planning, infrastructure, and technical barriers that often prevent projects from moving forward, these resources help position Tribal communities to leverage additional state and federal housing investments.

NCIHA is honored to partner with Berry Creek Rancheria and Manchester Point Arena Band of Pomo Indians in advancing their housing priorities. We extend our sincere congratulations to both Tribal communities and express our appreciation to the California Strategic Growth Council for recognizing the importance of investing in Tribal housing development.

Together, we are turning housing visions into reality, strengthening Tribal communities, and creating opportunities for generations to come. ❤️

Yesterday, October 22, NCIHA’s Oroville Office closed its doors in honor and remembrance of Kenneth Earl Clark Jr. as his family, Tribe, friends, and community gathered for his services.

Kenneth served as Mooretown Rancheria Fire Battalion Chief, Chairman of the Mooretown Rancheria and as a Housing Commissioner on NCIHA’s Board of Commissioners. He was a strong advocate, dedicated leader, and valued member of the NCIHA family whose commitment to his community will not be forgotten. 💙

We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to Kenneth’s family, the Mooretown Rancheria, his friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
We are thankful for Kenneth’s leadership, his advocacy, and the legacy of service he leaves behind. 🙏🏾🪶

We are pleased to present a time-lapse of progress on the Intertribal Elder Village from August 19 through October 9. This 2:30 minute video shows the daily progress from grading and compaction to the start of framing. The contractor's goal is to have each unit roofed and enclosed before the rainy weather hits so work can proceed on the interiors regardless of the weather.
