Ground Zero Emergency Training Center Elite search and rescue training center in the heart of Oklahoma. Ground Zero Emergency Training Center is a Non-Profit Organization in Oklahoma.

We specialize in enhancing America's emergency response capabilities to natural and man made disasters by providing local, state and federal First Responders with educational opportunities, exceptionally trained urban search and rescue canines, and providing First Responders with a state of the industry facility in which to hone their technical skills.

Today, we celebrate 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐊-𝟗 𝐕𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲, a day to reflect and honor the service of American working dogs. These loyal, courageous canines have stood alongside our Service Members in some of the most dangerous conditions imaginable to detect threats, save lives, and forge bonds with their handlers.

K-9 Veterans Day is observed on March 13 because it marks the anniversary of the U.S. Army's launch of the War Dog Program during WWII. On this date, the Army officially began training dogs to serve in combat roles - what would later become known as the K-9 Corps. 🐾
