Go Krishna! Such an amazing young man, we are so proud of you!
It is the highest honor an American youth can receive from Congress.
Krishna Bhadriraju, a senior at Jenks High School, successfully completed all requirements to receive the Congressional Gold Medal.
Only 700 people (age 14-24) in the entire nation earn this honor by completing the following over the span of 2 years:
- 400+ hours of voluntary community service
- 200+ hours of personal development
- 200+ hours of physical fitness
- a 5 day/4-night expedition
Krishna was recognized in front of the JPS Board of Education and will receive his Congressional Gold Medal later this year. He is a National Merit Semifinalist, a member of the Jenks Tennis team, an AP Scholar, an active member of Key Club and Drug Free Youth, a TEDx organizer, and an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America.
Join us in congratulating Krishna on this remarkable award!
