David “Bubba” Abeyta is up for Athlete of the Week! 👏🏽👏🏽

• David Abeyta, Tulia baseball — Abeyta hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning to help the Hornets rally to sweep Dimmitt with a 7-5 win in Game 2 of a bi-district series. He was 2 for 4 with a double, a home run and four RBIs in the win.

The 2026 Tulia Athletic Banquet was a tremendous success. On behalf of the Booster Club, we would like to sincerely thank everyone who played an important role in making last night such a memorable occasion.

• Kristy Lopez with Ernie’s Chicken for generously providing the meal. Everything was excellent and greatly appreciated.

• Amy Garcia and her culinary class for preparing cookies and providing tea and lemonade.

• Hector Magallanes for graciously allowing us to use the event center.

• Booster Club parents who volunteered their time to decorate and assist with cleanup afterwards.

• Our business supporters, community members, and parents whose continued belief in and support of our athletes means so much.

•Our administration for their continued support of the booster club. Your commitment plays a vital role in the success of our efforts and the opportunities we provide for our athletes.

Lastly, we would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all of our athletes. We are incredibly proud of each of you and the dedication, hard work, and character you have shown throughout the year.
