Nichols Improvement Association (NIA) Volunteers coming together for the betterment of our Nichols community.

The Nichols Improvement Association (NIA) is a non-profit organization of volunteers chartered with helping to preserve the heritage and distinctive character of the Nichols community. The NIA is located in the heart of the historic Nichols Farm district, situated on 42 beautiful acres which are also home to the Bunny Fountain, Five Pennies Park, Frog Pond, the Meadow & Gazebo, Moore Ball Fields a

nd Starkweather House. The property also includes the Nichols Green, site of the Flag Pole, Christmas Tree & WWI & WWII memorial. We sponsor many family-oriented events & activities throughout the year, including Camp Starkweather, The Trumbull Farmers Market, Adult Kickball & the Jingle Bell Run. The NIA is a 100% volunteer based organization and is solely funded through membership dues and private donations.

What a way to kick off the NIA adult kickball season!🎉

Week 1 brought everything we hoped for—great games, plenty of laughs, friendly competition, and an amazing turnout from players and spectators alike. The energy at the fields was incredible, and the food trucks were a huge hit!

Now we're gearing up for Week 2, and we'd love to see even more members of our community come out and join the fun. Whether you're cheering on a favorite team, grabbing dinner from the food truck, or just enjoying a summer evening with friends and family, there's something for everyone at the kickball fields.

The NIA Adult Kickball Season is officially underway, and you're invited to join the fun- even if you're not playing. Come enjoy a different food truck each game night, cheer on your favorite team, and soak up a great community atmosphere.

Bring a lawn chair, grab a bite to eat, and watch some friendly competition. It's the perfect way to spend a summer evening with family and friends.
