A Special Thank You to Chris Speedie. For years, she has served as our Club Treasurer, keeping us organized and on track. She seems to have answers to our questions, remembers details that some of us don't, and is often the person we call when we need clarification on SIA matters.

But Chris's contributions go beyond balancing the books and managing finances and working behind the scenes to help ensure that the i's are dotted and t's are crossed!

One recent example is her sponsorship of a hole at our Charity Golf Outing in memory of her brother, Matt. Her tribute honors not just a family member but the club that is so important to her.

Today we remember Richard Fickeisen, a husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose legacy continues to live on. Richard shared life with his wife, Donna, another of our longtime members! He was known as someone that lived each day to the fullest.

His memory is especially meaningful at our 4th Annual Charity Golf Outing because of the family's deep connection to Soroptimist. Richard's wife, Donna, has been a dedicated Soroptimist member for decades and our club is lucky to have their granddaughter Fallon, as our club's Vice President and the driving force behind this annual event.

As we gather for this year's outing, we are happy to honor Richard's memory and are grateful for Donna's sponsorship to make it happen!!

Today, we are honored to remember a special woman, Pauline Donovan, lovingly known as "Nana" to all of her grandkids.

Pauline was the beloved grandmother of our Vice President and Golf Outing Chair, Fallon, who includes her loved ones in the event every year - even if they cannot be here!

Pauline shared a 60-year marriage with her husband, Jack Donovan, and together they built a beautiful family that includes eight children, twelve grandchildren, and a legacy of love that continues today. Even at 93, Jack remains one of the dedicated supporters and will be participating in the golf outing for the fourth consecutive year.

Pauline was a fabulous cook who loved to dance. She and Jack were snowbirds that also loved travel throughout the world.
