Big emotions can feel overwhelming, especially for young people who haven't yet learned the tools to navigate them.

That's where Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) comes in.

DBT helps youth develop practical skills for managing emotions, handling stress, improving relationships, and making thoughtful choices in challenging moments. These are skills they can use not only during treatment, but throughout their lives.

At Saint Joseph's Children's Home, healing isn't just about addressing today's challenges—it's about helping youth build a stronger foundation for tomorrow.

Making friends. Solving disagreements. Speaking up with confidence.

These may seem like everyday skills, but for many youth, they take practice.

That's why social skills training is a core part of life at Saint Joseph's Children's Home. Through guided activities, group discussions, and real-life experiences, youth learn how to communicate, build healthy relationships, and navigate challenges with confidence.

Because sometimes the skills that make the biggest difference are the ones we use every day.

For 20 years, Ronda Meyer has been part of the Saint Joseph’s Children’s Home family, and today, she leads it as Executive Director.

When asked what reminds her why she does this work, her answer is simple: watching youth heal, seeing hope return, and witnessing staff show up every day with compassion and commitment.

Thank you, Ronda, for your faithful leadership and heart for Wyoming youth.♥️

One of our favorite parts of summer? Watching our youth light up at the pool. đź’™

Swimming, splashing, and just being kids — those moments of pure joy are part of healing too. This summer, we're cheering on every cannonball, every lap, and every smile.

Healing does not always happen in big, dramatic moments.

Sometimes it looks like laughter on the court.
Confidence returning one step at a time.
Youth learning how to trust, connect, and simply be kids again.

At Saint Joseph’s Children’s Home, these everyday moments matter. They are signs of progress, resilience, and the steady work of rebuilding hope.

Every youth deserves the chance to grow, play, learn, and believe in what is possible for their future.

Meet Ann Norwood, Board President of Saint Joseph's Children's Home and a lifelong advocate for Wyoming's families.

For 35 years, Ann served Cheyenne as a speech and language pathologist, helping individuals find their voice and communicate with confidence. That same commitment to listening, understanding, and creating pathways for expression guides her leadership at Saint Joseph's today.

"I value the opportunities to serve others," Ann shares. At Saint Joseph's, that service means ensuring Wyoming's youth ages 6-17 have access to the trauma-informed care, professional support, and hope they need to move forward.

Thank you, Ann, for leading with compassion and courage.

🇺🇸🕊️ "No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends." — John 15:13

Today, we remember and pray for the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their courage, selflessness, and dedication to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten. Let us also pray for the families they left behind—that God may grant them peace, strength, and comfort. May they rest in peace. 🙏❤️

Meet Sheila Foos, a Residential Supervisor who’s been part of Saint Joseph’s Children’s Home for 27 years.

Sheila helps youth build life skills, confidence, and compassion, often through hands-on experiences like working with 4-H animals. What keeps her going? Watching kids grow, succeed, and light up when they realize what they’re capable of.
