A solid effort today brings them to 🥇FIRST PLACE OVERALL 🥇. Back to Back!! Grit, Determination, and Motivation are an unstoppable combination when it comes to this competition.

Congratulations to all our brothers and sisters in this competition. We look forward to it each and every year.

Today your Torrington City Drill Team competed in the Double Male - Double Female contest! This round consisted of laying hose down the field to the first target, and then followed by a reverse lay back to the plug! A little tough luck and a 3 second penalty, but the hard work these guys put in landed them in 3rd for this run!

The dust has settled on the first run of the 93rd! Your Torrington team is sitting in 2nd place in the Replace Contest, behind our friends from the north, Newcastle.

Next up is the Wye Contest. Teams will compete to build a hose lay that features a wye appliance in the middle to knock down 2 targets at the end of the field.

TVFD responded last night to a mutual aid call from Morril FD to a brush fire 20 miles north of Henry. Due to significant lightning in the area to major brush fires were located with a couple miles of each other. TVFD sent 2 Type 6 quick attacks: Rural 14 and Rural 15 with 4 firefighters.

Chief Schick, Dive Captain Lira and Firefighter Pulver helped the THS seniors blaze their final trail today. You could say the Class of 2026 is fired up for graduation!
