ABOUT OUR ANNUAL SUMMER PROGRAM

Since 2010, TACT offers a six week summer program to the youths in rural east Mississippi and west Alabama communities. This program helps working parents to guardians place their child(ren) in a safe and structured environment throughout the day.

Approximately 75% or more of the youths who participate in our summer program are from low economic families. Therefore, with the support if a “Child Nutrition Grant” and various fundraising opportunities, TACT has been enabled to provide the service of the summer program and other fall and spring events.

In the fall of 2019, we officially became known as TACT (Today Action Changes Tomorrow). Our organizational goals are to improve the services needed by individuals and families from these rural communities.

Our values are: Hope, Integrity, Safety, and Resources.

TACT officially began in 2019 offering services to individuals and families in the rural communities of East Mississippi and West Alabama that are located outside of city limits or towns. Our goal is to offer services and resources to improve the lives of people in these communities, especially those from low-income households.

Our mission is to provide spiritual and educational resources through healthy living, literacy, cultural enrichment, financial empowerment, and community involvement.

Our desire is to serve individuals and families in the rural communities of East Mississippi and West Alabama at the location of Kewanee, MS.
