The Harness Racing Spring Meet is well underway at Shenandoah Downs in Woodstock with a lineup of special events and giveaways running through May 24. 🎒 Luke’s Backpack – School Year Wrap-Up

As we wind down the school year for Luke’s Backpack, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has faithfully volunteered and donated food and funding. Because of your generosity, we have been able to meet every request without reducing the amount of food in each bag — an incredible community achievement. We are currently seeking volunteers to help double-bag plastic grocery bags in preparation for next year’s food packing. If you’re interested, we’d love your help!

🧓 The Good Shepherd Ministry is Expanding

A Small Hand Diaper Pantry is collaborating with The Good Shepherd senior ministry to provide adult diapers to seniors and other neighbors in need. Please visit The Good Shepherd page on our website (www.svlm.org) for an enrollment form, which we invite you to share widely. Diaper pickup is available at Edinburg Christian Church on the first two Thursdays of each month from 9:00-11:00am or 5:00-7:00pm.

☀️ Summer Food Boxes

We will once again be offering weekly food boxes this summer. While distribution locations and times are still being finalized, we know we will need volunteers to distribute food boxes and/or help transport boxes to distribution sites. 🚨 URGENT: Help Needed Tomorrow (Wednesday!)

A Small Hand diaper pantry is receiving six pallets of diapers tomorrow afternoon (between 2:00–4:00pm) at Edinburg Christian Church, and we need help unloading them into the church. If you’re able to lend a hand, please reply and let me know. I’ll share a more precise arrival time as soon as I hear from the delivery driver.
