Attention Shenandoah County 4-H and FFA Livestock Show and Sale Exhibitors:

You are REQUIRED to attend a Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) Workshop PRIOR to showing at the 2026 Shenandoah County Fair, AND the 2026 Virginia State Fair.

The Shenandoah County training will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Peter Muhlenberg Middle School, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with check - in beginning at 5:30 PM.

The Shenandoah County 4-H and FFA Livestock Show and Sale Market Sheep, Market Hog, and Market Goat Weigh - In will be held on:

Today, Friday, June 5, 2026, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM,
OR
Tomorrow, Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 7:00 - 8:30 AM

Both Weigh – In days will be held at the Shenandoah County Fairgrounds.

Here are your Weigh – In Instructions:
Enter the Shenandoah County Fairgrounds through the main gate, off of Ox Road. Pass the bathrooms, approach the front of the Virginia Equine Alliance Racing and Livestock Barn, and enter the large, right door, through where cattle are stalled. After the cattle stalling area, continue through where sheep are stalled, and turn left up the sheep aisle, towards the race track. Make your way through that portion of the barn, until you reach where the scale house is located. After weighing and tagging, you will exit out the back of the sheep aisle.

Volunteers will be available to help assist with lining up and exiting.

Registration for the 2026 Frederick-Page-Shenandoah (FPS) 4-H Overnight Camp at the 4-H Center in Front Royal is open for Shenandoah campers, ages 9-13 as of 9-30-26! Camp will be held June 14-18, 2026. Please register ASAP because the spots are VERY limited and will fill fast! We will maintain a waiting list.

The camp fee is $400. Once we confirm that you are accepted, a $200 deposit will hold your space until the final payment is received. There is an application on the website for partial scholarship assistance, which is based on need.

The Shenandoah County 4-H Council planned and conducted another successful Egg Hunt on Sunday at the Shenandoah Co. Government Center. Crafts, snacks, co****le, door prizes, the Easter Bunny and the actual Egg Hunt were well organized and the 32 participants had fun! -h

The 2026 Shenandoah County 4-H/FFA Market Beef weigh-in is happening at the Fairgrounds this morning. We have lots of good helpers and some nice looking cattle!
