Two day backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail for National Trails Day. We hiked up to Race Brook Falls campsite the first day and then over Mt. Troop 15 in Tolland was back in the woods this weekend with a 10 mile hike from Ashford to the UConn Dairy Bar on the Nipmuck Trail! Ice cream is great motivation. This group included four scouts who just recently crossed over and are preparing for an upcoming Appalachian Trail trip.

March 2026’s camping trip was to Nobscott Scout camp in Massachusetts where scouts stayed while visiting the American Heritage Museum to take part in their American Heritage Merit Badge program. The scouts who attended all earned the merit badge and had a lot of fun.
