Florida’s reefs are collapsing but structure gives life back to the ocean. 🐠
Once thriving with elkhorn and staghorn corals, Florida’s reefs are now “functionally extinct.” Decades of warming seas, pollution, and disease have erased the complex coral structures that once supported entire ecosystems.
Without structure, life disappears. Reef Arches are built to change that. Our living shoreline technology mimics natural reef formations, creating critical habitat, buffering waves, and giving marine life a place to call home.
By rebuilding the foundation of the reef, we restore balance. Structure means protection.
• 🌡️ Heat waves reaching over 90°F have devastated coral reefs.
• 🪸 Elkhorn and staghorn corals can no longer rebuild reef structure on their own.
• 🧱 Structure creates habitat, where fish, invertebrates, and corals can return.
• 🌊 Reef Arches restore lost complexity, protecting coastlines from erosion and storms.
• 💪 Together, innovation and restoration can bring resilience back to our coasts.
The future of our reefs depends on the structures we build today.
