Our Story
What is the Florida Native Plant Society? FNPS Promotes: the Preservation, Conservation, and Restoration of the Native Plants and Native Plant Communities of Florida. The Sea Rocket Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society based in North Brevard County including the communities of Titusville, Cocoa and Merritt Island. What do we do?? We provide information on native plant landscaping and its benefits for a healthy environment including water, wildlife, butterflies and our natural heritage We support policies and programs that protect our natural lands and encourage proper management of those lands We provide scientifically sound information on native plants, their habitats, the wildlife that depends on them We support policies and programs that protect our natural lands and encourage proper management of those lands and their management and culture We support research about Florida native plants
Where do we meet? We meet at Brevard County’s Enchanted Forest Sanctuary in Titusville, right by the airport. Meetings are held monthly and we have quite a few plant sales each year where you can purchase native plants to add to your garden. See our events link for information on all our events
