ISO FOSTER

📣 ABANDONED & NEGLECTED SENIOR IN DANGER‼️
Euthanasia scheduled Monday 06/01 at 6:30 am 💔

Kind old grandpa Buster was DUMPED tied to a pole at the shelter on May 14th. What has he ever done to deserve this 😢

Buster kind of looks like an overused teddy bear. He is missing fur, has some bumps and lumps, and has flaky itchy skin. His skin has started to resolve but he will need more baths to calm the itchiness and yeastiness. He is also very thin. Who knows what kind of life this poor old man has had 💔

Despite abandonment and neglect, Buster remains friendly and social. He is eager to go out to the yards and enjoys exploring/sniffing around. He is attentive to his handler, can sit on cue, is highly food motivated, and will vocalize if treats are delayed (sassy boy 🤣).

🐶 Staff tested Buster with dogs and says he was interested in them and greeted them gently. We don’t have videos of it, so please bring your dog for a meet and greet!

ISO foster for TW

Euthanasia scheduled Monday 06/01 at 6:30 am 💔

Little old man T.W. is so cute, I have no idea how he’s still here 🥺 His round little body is so squishable, so luckily he does allow handling, picking up, etc.

T.W. is the perfect definition of a “chill guy.” He’s energetic when you’re energetic and laid-back when you just want to sit and relax. He enjoys spending time in the yards, sniffing around and exploring. He’s an easy boy, just needs a home!

🐶 T.W. participated in a small playgroup with large male and female dogs. Upon entering the yard, he was confident and greeted the other dogs with polite sniffs. During the interaction, T.W. was independent and would appropriately correct dogs that became too pushy when approaching to sniff him. He preferred to explore and stay close to handlers and was able to coexist comfortably with the group. Overall, T.W. displayed neutral behavior with other large dogs in a playgroup setting and may do best in a home with small dogs or large dogs that have low to medium energy levels.

Some before and afters of Mogi, now Mowgli after being in foster care with us the last couple of months.

He came out of the shelter with skin and ear infections as well as being very underweight. He's doing much better now and just had his 5th checkup since leaving the shelter.

Run free sweet girl, you were loved.

Nora came to us earlier this year from the OC Animal Care where she was listed for euthanasia after being surrendered by her owner.

She had been in foster care and actually had an adopter we were arranging transport for back east. Unfortunately everything went south very fast.

Nora's foster found her Monday unable to use her hind legs. She was taken to an emergency vet where she has been since. Yesterday we had an MRI performed. The vet found that she had somehow had an infection that made its way into her T4-T5 area of her spine. The infection over time had weakened her vertebrae there and caused a fracture leaving her in the current condition.

While we made a plea for a medical foster if we pursued surgery, the reality of the situation set in. The prognosis for her to be able to ever walk again was very minimal. The aftercare would be months long. Her quality of life in the meantime would be poor. Nora was over 100lbs making her aftercare incredibly difficult for any one person and for a dog of that size to be unable to walk is a very poor quality of life.

There were three things that essentially made the decision final for me.

1. The neurologist reccomended euthanasia.
2. The question was posed to me that if we had done the surgery, and done all the aftercare, and she was still unable to walk after months, did I really think that was the best decision for Nora?
3. I learned today that even despite being given fentanyl for pain she was still extremely painful anytime the vet techs had to move her. Knowing that she was suffering while being given that sort of medication did not seem to be the right choice. Due to all of the factors we decided euthanasia was the most human option.

This was not a decision that was made quickly nor lightly. A lot of sleep was lost. A lot of tears were shed and not just by myself. Nora went peacefully surrounded by her loving fosters after being given special treats and love. She as all dogs under BAMM that have had to be euthanized have been will be cremated and we will share her ashes with her foster and would be adopter.

We appreciate everyone understanding and support.

HELP!!! MEDICAL FOSTER NEEDED. Nora's medical issues have been diagnosed and a treatment plan is in place. Her current foster just had knee replacement surgery and is not set up to be able to provide this level of care. Is there anyone that can help her? If not we will be left with no choice but to humanely euthanized her as she is currently receiving pain management but unable to walk and very confused.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Nora, a young Doberman we pulled from SOCAL earlier this year is currently at an emergency vet in Tacoma. It started this morning when her foster noticed she was having a hard time using her hind legs. Since then it has progressed to not being able to stand and barely lift her head. She is also unable to urinate. This is the current estimate for the next 12-24 hours. The vet believes she may need an mri and this could be neurological which is estimated to be another 4-5K on top of this estimate. That won't include whatever treatment, surgery or otherwise that may be needed to help her. If you can donate please do so by

Nila from Stanislaus Animal Shelter in Modesto came to us a little over a week ago. We knew it wouldn't take her long to find a home and we were right.

Nila is a playful sweetheart that had no business being on the euthanasia list. Unfortunately her previous owner was arrested and Nila was confiscated. Safe to say her new family leads a much more mellow lifestyle ❤️
