This month is Clergy Appreciation Month. We’re thankful to all of our churches for appreciating your pastors. Acts 20:28 instructs pastors to watch over and care for the flock Jesus bought with His own blood. 1 Peter 5:1-3 reminds the pastors to do this willingly, not under compulsion, and to lead by example. Pastoring comes with many challenges. 1 Timothy 3:1 says, “Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task.”
Churches, as we appreciate our pastors this month, let it remind us that pastors are servants of the Lord; they are called to watch over the church, lead the believers, and someday, when we all stand before the Lord, they will be judged more strictly. Let us lighten their burden by being faithful and obedient believers.
This month we also had the opportunity to appreciate the servants at Hmong District. We appreciate all our staff for working tirelessly to carry out the day-to-day operations of the district office, assist our churches, and advance the Hmong District's mission and vision.
Big thanks to our pastors and their families, and to the Hmong District staff and their families.
