A Second Alzheimer’s & Dementia Support Group Coming to the Thomson-McDuffie Senior Center
We are excited to announce the start of a second Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support Group at the Thomson-McDuffie Senior Center!
Our support group is a welcoming place where caregivers, family members, and individuals impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia can come together, share experiences, learn from one another, and find support. As the need for dementia-related resources continues to grow in our community, we are pleased to expand our support group opportunities to better serve local families.
The new group will provide opportunities to learn about caregiving, communication, safety, self-care, community resources, and strategies for navigating the challenges of dementia. Most importantly, participants will have an opportunity to connect with others who understand what they are going through.
Whether you are caring for a loved one, supporting a family member, or simply want to learn more about Alzheimer’s and dementia, you are welcome to join us.
We look forward to building another supportive community where no caregiver or family member has to feel alone.
Join us on the third Wednesday of each month at the Thomson-McDuffie Senior Center from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.
