E-SPLOST for McDuffie County School District
The E-SPLOST proposal is a continuation of an existing one-cent sales tax, not a new tax.
If approved, it would be continued for a period not to exceed 20 calendar quarters, with the goal of raising no more than $30 million.
Proposed projects include renovations and upgrades to Thomson-McDuffie Middle School, as well as improvements to various other school buildings and district facilities.
The funds would also be used for technology upgrades, new school buses, and other essential equipment.
According to the school system, a previous E-SPLOST helped fund projects like the new Maxwell Elementary School, technology updates, and other facility upgrades.
