We would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone involved with Nicole's Hope, particularly those who have generously donated their time and resources to help children receiving cancer treatment and their families. In the last two weeks, we have had the pleasure of delivering gifts to young patients at Albany Medical Center's Melodies Center and Ronald McDonald House, as well as cooking meals for families at Ronald McDonald House. Our organization relies heavily on a network of compassionate individuals who create handmade items such as cards, dolls, loveys, and bears. We could not fulfill our mission of bringing happiness to these children and families without our team of crafters, chefs, and partners like The Pottery Place. We are truly thankful for the dedication and support shown by all involved.

Happy Birthday to my precious angel in heaven. It's been so long since I have held your hand or giggled with you at silly television shows or sat at your bedside telling you stories until you fell asleep, but I still miss you as much as I did the day you left us.
I wish you could be here to see the wonderful smiles that your memory and your guidance have brought to the faces of so many children battling cancer. I know you would be so very proud.
I will miss you each and every day of my life and I will imagine our wonderful reunion in my dreams.
Love you always,
Mom

BEREAVED MOTHER'S DAY 2026
Today is Bereaved Mother’s Day – a day that holds deep meaning, but also deep pain.

For many, this day is not filled with flowers or breakfast in bed, but with aching hearts and quiet reflection. It's a day for the mothers who hold their children in their hearts instead of their arms. A day that recognises the love that continues long after loss.

For many bereaved families TODAY is the day they choose to go out for lunch, light a candle, or spend time with others who understand. For others, it’s a time for solitude and self-care.

Next week – Mother’s Day – may be too overwhelming for those who have lost a child, while social media fills with smiling families and celebratory posts, many bereaved mothers are simply trying to get through the day.

To all the mothers grieving their child, in any way or at any age – we see you. We honour you. Your love, your motherhood, your grief – all of it matters.

A huge thank you for the continued financial support of the Orange Blossom Lions Club. They always come through when we need them most, and this time...because of their generosity:
1. Sweet Trinity who is battling High Risk Neuroblastoma will be receiving a computer so she can continue to attend school on line.

2. Our beautiful girl Nova, who is also battling High Risk Neuroblastoma and must go to Memorial Sloane Kettering for treatment will be able to bring her bests friends (her siblings) with her on this very scary trip.

3. A wonderful young man being treated at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital will be able to pay for his rent, food and transportation to and from treatment for his cancer.

Reed (13) and Nolan (10) are two of the toughest kids you’ll ever meet. Right now, BOTH of them are fighting something no family should ever have to face, genetic Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

What makes this even harder to wrap your head around is that this is the FIRST known case of two siblings battling this rare, aggressive cancer at the same time.

They’re going through intense chemo and bone marrow transplants, fighting every single day. Their mom, Megan, who’s been the main provider, had to shut down her business to be there for them full-time. Right now, her entire world is making sure her boys get through this.

This is one of those moments where showing up matters. Whether it’s a donation, a share, or even just sending some love, it all helps take a little weight off their shoulders so Megan can focus on what matters most: her kids.🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹💙💙💙💙

If you can, please donate or share their story. Let’s help in any way we can. We love you boys!!!!💙

A great big thank you to the Boomer Loomers, Bonnie Boxes of The Villages., Fl, the Manatee Quilters, the Bear Ladies, the Ladies from Dolls From the Heart and the Card Making Ladies of Citrus Grove. Because of your creative talent and generosity, we were able to deliver beautiful smiles to the children at Shands Children’s Hospital and Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Central Florida. Our “Village” is always there to say “YES” whenever we ask and we couldn’t be more grateful💕💕

Reflecting on this year brings both joy and sadness. Our joy is for the generous donations from families, friend and companies who truly care which has allowed us to expand our network from two hospitals and two Ronald McDonald Houses to 6 hospitals, 2 Ronald McDonald Houses and one Childhood Cancer Respite Center in just one year! With that has come a flood of families in need. Just a small sampling of some of our joyous accomplishments:

We adopted 45 children and 19 parents and supplied their Holiday gifts, along with a $200 Visa gift card to insure that they have the Holiday celebration that they so deserve.
We sent over 250 handmade Holiday cards to children and their parents containing surprise Amazon and Walmart gift cards.
We sent three families on weekend getaways to make memories and relax without hospitals, doctors and treatments.
We sent beautiful handmade dolls, bears, warm blankets, "Loveys" and hats to hundreds of young cancer warriors children across the Country

Our sadness comes from the sheer desperate need that some of our families face; so many parents have to leave their jobs to care for their child 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. For those families, the need is great! We have paid for funerals for children whose parents are simply financially spent, we have paid for rent for families who are facing eviction, we have paid for food for families whose cupboards are bare and we have paid for gas and Ubers so parents can transport their very sick children to the hospital. In a Country with so much excess, it is difficult to understand why. These children are our future and they have done nothing to deserve what is happening to them. Regardless of our religion, political affiliation...these families deserve better!

As we head into 2026, my prayer is as it always is.....that Nicole's Hope can continue in its mission to lessen the burden on families of children undergoing treatment for cancer and to bring smiles to the faces of our precious young cancer patients.

Wishes for a Wonderful Holiday Season and a New Year filled with Hope for our children.

This Sunday, December 14th, from 7:00–8:00 PM local time, candles will be lit around the world for children gone too soon.
One hour. One flame. Millions of names.
I will be lighting my candle in memory of my daughter Anna and holding every parent whose heart carries this lifelong love and loss.
If you have lost a child, this light is for you.
If you know a grieving parent, this light is for them.
If you’ve never known this pain, stand with us anyway.
🕯️Light a candle. Say their name. Share this post.
